The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences yesterday held its second annual AHSS Postgraduate Research Conference. The conference highlights the research of the Faculty’s postgraduate students, and gives students the opportunity to present in a real conference environment.
Speaking about the conference, Professor Eoin Devereux, Assistant Dean of Research said: “We are immensely proud of the research work being undertaken by our PhD students in the AHSS Faculty. Our annual postgraduate conference represents an opportunity for our students to showcase their work and to hear about the work being undertaken by their fellow PhD researchers in our six departments and schools. The conference sessions are chaired by the PhD students themselves. It is an an important part of their overall academic training but is also an opportunity to share ideas and experiences.”
